Privacy Policy

Last updated September 18, 2026

Nakoda AI News (“Nakoda AI News,” “we,” “us”) publishes news and commentary on AI and business at news.nakoda.ai. This policy explains what information we collect when you read, subscribe, or otherwise interact with the site, and how it’s used.

Information we collect directly

  • Newsletter sign-up. If you subscribe to The Nakoda AI Brief, we collect the email address you provide.
  • Search. Searches you run on the site are processed to return results and are not linked to your identity.

Google Reader Revenue Manager and Preferred Sources

We use Google’s Reader Revenue Manager to power on-site prompts such as newsletter sign-up and reader registration, and Google’s Preferred Sources button to let you mark Nakoda AI News as a preferred source in Google Search, News, and Discover. Both load a script from google.com/news.google.com directly in your browser. When you interact with either — for example, signing up for our newsletter through a Google-hosted prompt, or clicking “Prefer Nakoda AI News on Google” — the information involved (such as your email address, your Google account identity, and your interaction with the prompt) is collected and processed by Google as an independent controller under Google’s Privacy Policy, not by us directly. We receive aggregate or entitlement information back from Google (for example, whether you’ve signed up), but not your underlying Google account credentials.

These Google scripts may set cookies or use similar technology in your browser to support sign-in, fraud prevention, and remembering your CTA preferences (such as a dismissed prompt).

Cookies and similar technology

Beyond the Google scripts described above, we do not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on news.nakoda.ai. If that changes — for example, if we add analytics or an ad platform — we’ll update this policy first.

How we use information

  • To send the newsletter you signed up for, and nothing else, unless you tell us otherwise.
  • To operate and improve the site — for example, understanding which sections readers use.
  • To respond to inquiries you send us.

We do not sell reader information.

Sharing

We share information with service providers strictly to run the site and newsletter (for example, an email delivery provider, and Google as described above). We don’t share reader information with other third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Retention

We keep your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter, and delete it within a reasonable period after you unsubscribe.

Your choices

Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. To manage what Google knows about your preferred sources or newsletter sign-up through Google, use your Google Account settings. To ask us about the data we hold on you, contact us at the address below.

Children’s privacy

Nakoda AI News is a business and technology publication not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update the date at the top of this page whenever this policy changes, and post material changes on this page.
