Nakoda News covers AI and business, with a focus on the UAE and the Gulf. This page explains how we decide what to publish, how stories are put together, and what we do when we get something wrong.
What we cover
We publish developments that change something for people working in AI and business: model and product launches, funding and deals, regulation and policy, research, markets and leadership moves. We leave out sponsored content, opinion columns, routine ceremonies, and anything we cannot confirm from at least one full report.
How stories are produced
Most stories on Nakoda News are produced with an automated newsroom system that uses AI. Each hour it reviews what news outlets, official agencies and companies have published, selects the developments that clear our bar, goes to the primary source where there is one, and writes the story in our own words. Every story produced this way says “Produced with AI assistance” beneath its sources.
The rules the system writes under are the same ones we hold ourselves to:
- Every fact is attributed to the report or statement it comes from.
- Names, titles, figures and dates are kept exactly as the sources give them.
- No invented quotes, figures or reactions, and no speculation beyond what the sources support.
- Quotes appear only when they are verbatim in a source, in quotation marks and attributed.
- Where sources disagree, the story says so.
- Headlines are factual. No clickbait.
Our editors oversee the front page and can amend or withdraw any story at any time.
Sources
Every story lists the reports and statements it draws on under “Sources”, with links to the originals. We prefer primary sources such as official statements, filings and company announcements, and we say when a story is based on a press release. When we use a photo from a press handout or from the outlet that reported the story, it is credited under the image.
Bylines
Stories are published under the house byline, Nakoda News Desk, rather than an individual name. Our editor, Yash Mishra, is accountable for every story we publish, and the note beneath each story’s sources tells you whether it was produced with AI assistance.
Independence
Coverage is editorial, never paid. Nobody can buy a story or its placement. Nakoda News is published by Nakoda AI; when we cover Nakoda AI or a company it works with, we disclose that in the story.
Corrections
We fix errors quickly and openly. See our corrections policy, or contact us to report a mistake.
