Dubai Chambers has added an Agentic AI category to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award. It will recognise Dubai-based private companies that have deployed agentic AI and can show measurable business results, according to the Emirates News Agency and Entrepreneur Middle East.

The category is open to companies in every sector in Dubai. Entrants are expected to have moved beyond initial testing and to have agentic AI running across their operations, for example to automate workflows, support decisions or raise productivity. The organisers describe agentic AI as systems that carry out tasks and coordinate work with a degree of autonomy while staying under human oversight and appropriate cybersecurity and governance controls.

How Entries Will Be Judged

Applications will be scored in four areas: Agentic AI Talent Readiness, Agentic AI Implementation and Successful Use Cases, Cyber Security Alignment, and Measurable Business Results. Judges will look at whether companies can scale the technology, how well their applications work, whether they meet cybersecurity requirements, and what gains they have made in productivity, growth, customer experience and sustainability.

An independent panel of experts will review submissions. Shortlisted companies will present their use cases before a single winner is chosen. The process follows the one used for the award's other categories.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, called agentic AI "a key driver of business competitiveness, innovation, and growth". He said the chamber wanted to help the private sector adopt the technology "responsibly and effectively".

Part of a Wider Push

The category is part of Dubai's private sector Agentic AI transformation programme, which Dubai Chambers runs under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The programme aims to get businesses to build AI agents into their administrative and operational processes. Dubai Chambers has also launched what it describes as the world's first chamber-led agentic AI marketplace.

The award now has four categories: the Outstanding Business Award, the Family Business Award, the Global Expansion Award and the new Agentic AI category, which the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy sponsors. The award was set up in 2005 under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

The move matches the public sector's direction. Federal and Dubai government bodies have recently set targets to run large shares of their services on agentic AI. By judging companies on cybersecurity and measurable outcomes rather than on adoption alone, the chamber is signalling what it expects of private-sector deployments as they spread.
