AIQ, the Abu Dhabi industrial AI company, will integrate Rock Flow Dynamics' tNavigator reservoir modelling software into Genesis, the platform it describes as an AI-native energy operating system. The company announced the deal on November 5 at ADIPEC 2026, where it is the event's AI co-host, alongside a separate collaboration agreement with Siemens Energy on autonomous operations.
The tNavigator deal brings a widely used physics-based simulation tool into the system AIQ is selling as the single layer that ties together an energy company's applications, data and AI. Rather than engineers moving results between separate programs by hand, AIQ wants reservoir models, geology and surface network analysis to feed directly into field development planning and other enterprise workflows on Genesis.
In practice, connecting the output of engineering applications to business workflows "can require substantial manual coordination", Saravan Penubarthi, AIQ's chief technology officer, said in the company's press release. "Genesis is designed to address this challenge," he said, adding that the integration extends that approach to reservoir engineering and simulation.
Rock Flow Dynamics, a Houston-based software company founded in 2005, sells tNavigator as an all-in-one subsurface package covering everything from seismic interpretation to surface network optimisation. Kirill Bogachev, its chief technology officer, said tNavigator's "physics-based foundation is built to open a dialog with AI technologies." Amin Harby, the company's vice-president for the Middle East, spoke of "trusted AI across seismic, geology, and field development planning."
AIQ listed possible applications including AI-assisted static and dynamic modelling, machine learning for seismic interpretation, such as clustering facies and horizons and predicting rock properties between wells, and sharing subsurface findings across geoscience, reservoir, production and facilities teams. The release gave no financial terms, performance figures or delivery dates. It said more third-party tools are expected to be added to Genesis.
In the Siemens Energy agreement, the two companies said they aim to build a commercial autonomous-operations offering for the energy and process industries, and that the collaboration is intended to become the basis for a formal commercial partnership. AIQ will contribute its operational AI applications, agents and decision support. Siemens Energy brings automation, digital twins, reliability and asset performance management. The first areas are autonomous and remote operations, drilling-related products and reliability services.
AIQ's RoboWell autonomous well-control tool will be among the first applications offered in a wider autonomous and remote operations package led by Siemens Energy, the companies said, and they demonstrated it at ADIPEC. Dennis Jol, AIQ's chief executive, said the combination would let the companies serve offshore, engineering, procurement and construction, and international operators. Khalid Bin Hadi, managing director for the UAE at Siemens Energy, said AIQ brings real-world deployments and access to digital ecosystems used by UAE and regional operators. That agreement also carried no financial terms or launch date.
AIQ describes itself as a Presight company, with Presight as its major shareholder. Its largest customer is ADNOC: in March 2025 it announced a three-year, $340 million contract to deploy its ENERGYai agents and related tools across ADNOC's upstream operations, a rollout covering more than 28 producing fields. The two ADIPEC agreements point to AIQ's effort to sell Genesis as a platform other vendors plug into, and to reach customers beyond its home market through partners with global sales networks.
