Adobe has made CX Enterprise Coworker, its agentic AI system for marketing and customer experience work, available inside several third-party AI platforms. The company announced the move on November 4.
According to Adobe's announcement, the agent can now be used in ChatGPT as a plugin and in Anthropic's Claude, Databricks Genie, Gemini for business and Microsoft Copilot. Adobe said support for Amazon Quick, IBM and Snowflake is expected soon. It did not give pricing details.
Adobe introduced Coworker earlier this year as part of CX Enterprise, the new name for its Experience Cloud business. The system manages the customer lifecycle, from attracting and engaging prospects to driving conversions and increasing customer lifetime value. It runs automated workflows across Adobe's applications with human oversight. Adobe says it can analyse campaign performance, forecast audiences, optimise customer journeys and help with planning and project management.
The practical change is where marketers work. They no longer have to open Adobe's own interface to use the agent. They can call it from the general-purpose assistants their companies have already rolled out. Adobe's help documentation says administrators must approve Coworker for some or all users before staff can reach it in Claude or Microsoft 365 Copilot. In ChatGPT, users add it from the plugins menu.
Built on Open Agent Standards
Coworker is built on Model Context Protocol and Agent2Agent, two open standards for connecting AI agents to tools and to each other. Adobe also released ready-made MCP connectors for partner systems including Amazon Ads, Databricks Genie, Demandbase, Meta's ad campaigns, Microsoft Work IQ, RainFocus and Snowflake Cortex AI. The company says marketers can then pull data and take actions across several systems with one request, without custom integration work.
"Marketers often use AI tools in isolation," said Anjul Bhambhri, senior vice president of engineering for customer experience orchestration at Adobe. She said Coworker "connects these tools and workflows using brand, customer and channel intelligence."
Both Google and Microsoft gave supporting statements. "Our partnership with Adobe is built on a shared vision of open, flexible and secure agentic AI," said Rao Surapaneni, vice president of Gemini agent governance at Google Cloud. Rob Howard, corporate vice president of Copilot platform and extensibility at Microsoft, said the companies are working together "to help enterprises leverage agentic AI to move from insight to action."
Partners and Distribution
Adobe said global systems integrators including Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte Digital, EY, IBM, Infosys, PwC and TCS are building industry-specific solutions on Coworker. The advertising groups dentsu, Havas, Omnicom, Publicis, Stagwell and WPP are adding their own agents, tools and intellectual property for shared clients. The company said it serves more than 20,000 brands in content production, customer engagement and brand visibility. It did not name customers using Coworker.
The announcement shows a wider change in enterprise software. Application vendors are putting their agents inside the AI assistants that are becoming many employees' main work interface, instead of trying to pull users into their own products. For Adobe, whose marketing software competes with Salesforce and others for the same budgets, being reachable from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot could matter as much as the features themselves.
