HUMAIN Absorbs Saudi Cloud and AI Services Firm CNTXT to Push Into Enterprise Deployment
The PIF-backed AI company did not disclose terms for CNTXT, an Aramco-linked Riyadh firm that resells Google Cloud in the kingdom, and says the deal will help it carry its models and compute into customers' operations.

HUMAIN, the artificial intelligence company owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, has taken over Riyadh-based CNTXT, a cloud, data and AI services provider. HUMAIN announced on Wednesday that CNTXT has "joined" the company. Neither side disclosed the financial terms or the ownership structure of the transaction, Wamda reported.
According to HUMAIN's statement, CNTXT's staff, proprietary software, enterprise know-how and existing contracts with public- and private-sector clients will be folded into HUMAIN's platform. HUMAIN described itself as a full-stack AI provider covering infrastructure, compute, models and applications. CNTXT brings the services layer that sits between those technologies and the organisations using them: cloud migration and managed cloud, data analytics, cybersecurity, systems integration, implementation and ongoing support.
HUMAIN chief executive Tareq Amin said the addition "significantly expands our ability to deliver AI where it matters most: inside the enterprise." He said CNTXT brings "the technology, talent, customer relationships and implementation depth" to turn HUMAIN's ecosystem into operational results.
CNTXT chief executive Abdullah Jarwan called the move "an exciting new chapter" for the company and said that, as part of HUMAIN, it could speed up AI deployment for its customers.
Who CNTXT Is
CNTXT was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in Riyadh. At launch it was a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Cognite, the industrial data software company majority owned by Norway's Aker, according to Cognite's announcement at the time. The company became Google Cloud's reseller in Saudi Arabia, and in November 2023, after Google opened its Saudi cloud region, it was named the exclusive reseller for organisations buying Google Cloud Platform services through Saudi-based entities. It also resells Cognite's Data Fusion industrial data platform across the Middle East and North Africa.
The statements from HUMAIN and CNTXT do not say whether those reseller arrangements with Google Cloud and Cognite will continue under HUMAIN's ownership, or how much of the business Aramco and Cognite still owned before the deal.
Why It Matters
The deal comes days after Aramco completed its acquisition of a 49 per cent stake in HUMAIN from PIF, which makes the Saudi oil company a major shareholder on both sides of this transaction's history. HUMAIN was set up to anchor the kingdom's AI ambitions, building large data centre capacity, Arabic-language models and partnerships with US chipmakers and cloud providers.
Buying CNTXT gives HUMAIN something that is hard to build quickly: a services team with existing government and corporate customers in Saudi Arabia. Infrastructure and models generate revenue only when organisations put them to work, and much enterprise AI spending goes to integration, security and long-term managed services rather than raw compute. By bringing CNTXT in-house, HUMAIN can sell to customers across the whole adoption cycle, from strategy to running systems in production, instead of relying on outside integrators.
The acquisition also puts HUMAIN more directly in competition with the global consultancies and systems integrators that currently handle much of the Gulf's enterprise cloud and AI work. For Saudi public-sector buyers, it creates a single state-linked supplier that offers compute, models and implementation.
It is not yet clear how HUMAIN will manage CNTXT's ties to Google Cloud alongside its own infrastructure plans and its other technology partnerships, which have included major US chip and cloud companies. Those relationships will matter to customers who already run workloads through CNTXT.
