CrowdStrike Launches Sovereign Cloud in Saudi Arabia for Its Falcon Platform

The in-country deployment, first announced as a plan in January, keeps security workloads and customer telemetry inside the kingdom and is aimed at government bodies and critical infrastructure operators.

CrowdStrike has launched a sovereign cloud deployment of its Falcon cybersecurity platform in Saudi Arabia, the company said in a statement on November 4. The service is available immediately to customers and authorised partners.

The announcement, datelined Austin and Barcelona and tied to the company's Fal.Con Europe 2026 event, says Falcon security workloads, customer telemetry and management infrastructure will be hosted inside the kingdom. CrowdStrike says the architecture is designed to align with applicable Saudi cybersecurity, cloud and data protection requirements, and that it is aimed at government entities, critical national infrastructure operators and large enterprises that need to keep data in the country.

The company says the local deployment is still connected to its global threat intelligence, AI-powered detection and expert-led threat hunting. It also highlights tools for securing AI agents: discovering agents running in an organisation, giving runtime visibility into what they do and which systems and data they reach, and stopping malicious agent activity in real time.

"Adversaries operate without borders. Sovereignty shouldn't mean sacrificing security," said Daniel Bernard, CrowdStrike's chief business officer, according to the release.

The release also refers to CrowdStrike's partnership with Aramco. Ahmad O. Al Khowaiter, Aramco's Executive Vice President of Technology and Innovation, said in the statement that the relationship brings "world-class technologies to Saudi Arabia" and supports the kingdom's plans for secure, AI-driven growth.

From Plan to Launch

CrowdStrike first set out the plan in January 2026, when it said it would add in-country cloud deployments in Saudi Arabia, India and the UAE as part of what it calls its Global Data Sovereignty initiative. The Saudi launch is the first of those three to be announced as live. The company has not said in the latest release when the UAE and India deployments will follow.

The move follows a wider shift among global software and cloud vendors to host data inside Gulf states, where governments increasingly require sensitive and critical infrastructure data to stay within national borders. For security buyers in the kingdom, it removes one of the main obstacles to using a cloud-delivered endpoint and threat detection platform for regulated workloads.

The launch comes a day after Nakoda reported that CrowdStrike agreed to buy Fiddler AI and Dreadnode for nearly $500 million and added a kill switch to its Falcon tools to stop rogue AI agents. Securing AI agents is now a central part of how the company pitches its platform.
