Terra Invest, an investment firm based in Singapore, has joined a strategic funding round for AIREV, the Abu Dhabi agentic AI company behind the OnDemand platform, AIREV said in an announcement on November 4. Neither side disclosed how much was invested, the company's valuation or who else is taking part in the round.

The deal matters less for its size, which is unknown, than for what AIREV is trying to show. The company presents itself as a builder of sovereign AI software from the UAE, and its chairman is Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, who took the role in June 2026, according to Middle East AI News. The investment agreement was signed by AIREV co-founder and chief executive Muhammad Khalid and Terra Invest founding partner Krishan Rattan, with Al Zeyoudi present. Middle East AI News described it as AIREV's third significant foreign direct investment.

"This investment reflects the growing confidence of international investors in the UAE's economic and investment landscape," Al Zeyoudi said in the announcement. Rattan said: "We chose the UAE because this is where the next generation of regulated AI businesses is being built." Khalid said the money lets AIREV pursue its plans "from Abu Dhabi, at scale".

AIREV was founded in Abu Dhabi in September 2023 and is held through a company registered in Abu Dhabi Global Market. Middle East AI News reported that it was set up under the government's NextGen FDI initiative. Its main product, OnDemand, is a no-code and low-code platform for building and running AI agents. Customers can run it on devices, on their own servers, in sovereign data centres or in the cloud.

The company gave several figures for the platform that could not be independently checked. It said OnDemand has more than 4 million users, more than 300 specialised agents and support for more than 50 languages. It also said the platform processed 6.8 trillion tokens in the second quarter of 2026, about six times the figure a year earlier. Middle East AI News reported that AIREV also claims a 20-fold rise in valuation and paying Fortune 500 customers. It lists Intel, Tenstorrent and Qualcomm as technology partners and the distributor Redington as support for a planned expansion into Europe.

The announcement names two projects with companies in Terra Invest's portfolio. AIREV will build agentic AI into Kairos Wealth, an operating system for family offices and wealth managers, covering trading, portfolio management, financial advice, and compliance and regulatory technology. The partners say the work is also meant to help international investors reach UAE and regional markets. The second partner is Shookra, a physician-led longevity, aesthetics and regenerative medicine business. Its Shookra One smart-ring programme runs on OnDemand and combines biometric data and diagnostics with protocols designed by doctors.

Terra Invest has offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, London, Miami and Singapore, according to Middle East AI News. The deal follows talks Al Zeyoudi recently held in Singapore on trade and investment with Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and minister Dr Tan See Leng.

AIREV has raised money from abroad before. In April 2025 Ireland's Venturewave Capital invested in the company without disclosing an amount, and Core42, part of G42, made a strategic investment in its 2024 seed round. The company has not said when the current round will close or how much it aims to raise.
